The Raft of the Medusa

In 1819 Theodore Gericault completed an oil painting title “The Raft of the Medusa” which became an icon of Romanticism - possibly my second favourite art movement after the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood - and an overused image of despair. I do like having fun with famous images, so here is The Raft of the Medusa, recreated in the style of the Oaxacan artists of Mexico. Because, why the hell not…?
