Pinned by Dignity

There is a glorious dignity and formality in the way humans can carry themselves.

Having had the great fortune to visit West Africa several times, I have regularly witnessed the laundry washing ritual in the river - especially the Niger.

Here they are surrounded by weaver birds and the ibis: while famed in Australia as the “bin chicken”, the ibis has an extraordinary graphic beauty.
