Gardenia scabrella or the Star Flower is a woody, evergreen shrub or small tree with mid green, glossy elliptic, deeply veined leaves. It grows to form a mound shaped crown. It is cultivated especially for its lovely star shaped, fragrant white flowers that appear most of the year round.
