The Age of Innocence

I am under the influence of the black dog - depression. Here are so many of my favourite animals, an obsession since childhood. All but the dog are black. He has been released. There are obsessions within depression, repetition and patterns. Each animal has a traditional pattern upon them, sourced from their land or origin. I hope it is obvious that none of the animals intently watching the golden dog are inherently bad, evil or mal-intent. Everything is beautiful, given the opportunity. This painting was an incredible release and relief for me.
