Barcelona by Gaudi

map, watercolour, pen & pencil on canvas

One of 4 key locations in the world that I set out to see. (Add Bandiagara, Deir-el-Bahari, and Goreme - the one I haven’t been yet). Images of Antoni Gaudi’s architecture filled my head when I was studying that subject, and I think doomed me to never succeeding in the world of modern architecture. Which equally freed me to pursue things more meaningful to me.

Here is a map of Barcelona, recreated in the images of the women who all stand like models, each woman in the shape of a Gaudi building that lies within that specific area of the map.
